Eden Hazard named PFA Player of the Year,

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been named the PFA Player of the Year, with Tottenham striker Harry Kane picking up the PFA Young Player of the Year award.Hazard was the clear favourite to win the award for the first time, having inspired Chelsea to the brink of the Premier League title.

Hazard won the PFA Young Player of the Year award last season but graduates to top honours having scored 13 goals and claimed eight assists for Chelsea in the Premier League this season.

He won the poll ahead of Kane, with Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea third.

Hazard was one of six Chelsea players named in the PFA Team of the Year. As the award ceremony drifted late into Sunday night, the suspense was rather dampened when Monday's newspaper back pages were published showing Hazard as the winner.
